Contemporary Beauty Showroom Design for Beauty Buffet at Mega Bangna
Category : Shop
Location : Mega Bangna
Area : 18 sq.m.
Year : 2022
The Collective Studio was commissioned to develop the Prototype Shop design for Gino McCray, Beauty Buffet’s premium cosmetics line, located at Mega Bangna.
The project was envisioned as more than a conventional retail kiosk or cosmetic counter. Instead, it was designed as a contemporary beauty showroom prototype that could communicate the brand’s evolving identity while enhancing customer interaction and product experience within a department store environment.

A New Retail Experience for Beauty Products
The concept focused on creating a clean, modern, and visually engaging retail space that reflects the premium positioning of Gino McCray while remaining approachable and accessible to customers.
Unlike traditional cosmetic counters that primarily focus on product display density, this showroom prototype emphasized:
Customer experience
Product interaction
Brand visibility
Spatial openness
The design approach aimed to create an environment where customers could comfortably explore products while experiencing the atmosphere and personality of the brand itself.

Spatial Planning & Product Presentation
The showroom layout was carefully organized to maximize product visibility while maintaining a clean and uncluttered appearance.
Display systems were strategically arranged to guide customer circulation naturally throughout the space, allowing easy access to cosmetic collections, featured products, and promotional displays.
Central display areas were designed to encourage interaction and product testing, while maintaining smooth operational flow for beauty consultants and staff members.
Despite operating within the limitations of a retail mall environment, the design successfully balances functionality, openness, and strong visual identity.
Material & Atmosphere
The overall atmosphere combines modern luxury with youthful energy.
A refined palette of soft neutral tones, illuminated product shelving, reflective materials, and clean geometric lines helps create a sophisticated retail environment while allowing cosmetic products to remain the visual focal point.
Lighting design played a key role in enhancing both product presentation and customer comfort, creating a bright and inviting showroom atmosphere suitable for beauty retail experiences.
Prototype Design with Scalability in Mind
As a prototype showroom, the project was developed with future scalability in mind.
The design system allows the concept to be adapted and expanded into additional retail branches while maintaining consistency in brand identity, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
The result is a contemporary cosmetic showroom that reflects the evolution of beauty retail — where spatial experience, branding, and customer engagement become equally important as the products themselves.
