Siam Nakarin Reception

Many who have visited Hat Yai will be familiar with Siam Nakarin Complex—recognized for its European-style architecture and its wide range of stationery and office supplies. With the brand’s expansion to Bangkok, a new branch was established in the Bang Phli area.

The Collective Studio was commissioned to design both the office (Siam Nakarin Office) and the showroom, with the goal of creating a space that feels more minimal and contemporary—while also refining and strengthening the brand identity.

Our approach retained Siam Nakarin’s signature red as the primary color, complemented by a more refined material palette of wood, concrete, and white tones. A key design element is the integration of ribbon-like lines throughout the space—subtly referencing the brand’s identity as a stationery distributor and translating it into a cohesive spatial language.

Functional Spaces with Flexibility

The staff dining area is designed as a flexible space that can also accommodate guests during meetings, supporting both everyday use and occasional hospitality functions.

Within the executive zone, we introduced a more private and personal layer of space. This includes a dedicated resting area, allowing executives to step away and recharge during the day.

Adjacent to this is a private dining area, designed for preparing and enjoying simple meals in a comfortable setting.

Simple Materials, Thoughtful Composition

The restrooms reflect a design approach rooted in simplicity and efficiency. Using only white tiles and grey stone-pattern finishes, the space is composed through clean lines and careful arrangement—creating visual interest while maintaining a controlled budget.

This project demonstrates how a brand can evolve through design—balancing familiarity with a more contemporary expression.

Through the thoughtful integration of color, material, and narrative elements, The Collective Studio transformed Siam Nakarin’s new Bangkok branch into a space that is both functional and reflective of its identity.
