Teddy Dog Home Interior

The Teddy Dog Home project, located in Nang Linchi, Bangkok, is a proud showcase from The Collective Studio. This project posed an exciting challenge: renovating an existing building featuring traditional Chinese architectural elements into a vibrant, pet-friendly space with a cafe, swimming pool, dog hotel, and grooming facility tailored specifically for dog lovers and modern lifestyles.

Design Concept

The design approach for Teddy Dog Home seamlessly blends traditional Chinese architecture with a vibrant, contemporary aesthetic. By introducing lively, trendy graphics and a colorful atmosphere, we successfully created a welcoming environment that resonates with younger generations and pet lovers alike.

Each room in the project was thoughtfully designed for specific purposes:

  • Cafe: Designed to offer a warm, relaxing atmosphere complemented by vivid colors and unique photo corners, making it an ideal spot for social gatherings and memorable moments.

  • Swimming Pool A safe and fun area specifically designed for dogs to exercise and relax, providing an enjoyable experience for pets and their owners.

  • Dog Hotel Clearly separated spaces for small and large dogs ensure comfort and cater to their different needs, delivering an excellent stay experience for pets.

  • Dog Grooming Area Designed to be friendly and calming, the grooming area helps pets feel relaxed, significantly reducing anxiety during grooming sessions.

  • Playground and Laundry These functional areas are systematically organized to maintain cleanliness and maximize convenience for both pets and staff.

The redesign of Teddy Dog Home has significantly enhanced the building's appeal, making it highly attractive to its target audience. It has become a popular destination for pet lovers and enthusiasts of modern Chinese-style cafes. The versatile spaces support a wide range of activities and positively impact local pet-related businesses within the surrounding community.

In addition, The Collective Studio provided branding design services for Teddy Dog Home, enhancing its unique identity and positioning the business sustainably for future growth.

The Brief & Challenge

Teddy Dog Home is a multi-functional pet lifestyle space combining a café, dog swimming pool, pet hotel, and grooming services—set within a building defined by traditional Chinese architecture.

The key challenge was to develop a brand identity that could bridge two contrasting worlds:

  • The heritage and formality of traditional Chinese design

  • The playful, vibrant lifestyle of modern pet owners

The goal was to create a brand that feels friendly, joyful, and approachable, where every moment shared between pets and their owners becomes a memorable experience.

Concept & Design Strategy: “Flow of Joy”

To unify these ideas, the design was developed under the concept of “Flow of Joy.”

This concept draws inspiration from:

  • Asian Aesthetics — rooted in cultural identity

  • Energy Transition — symbolizing emotional transformation

The logo is designed as a narrative element, inspired by wind flowing through traditional Chinese “butterfly windows.”It represents a journey—from stress to happiness, from stillness to liveliness—bringing positive energy to both pets and their owners.

To further personalize the identity, the brand incorporates the three signature dogs of the space:

  • Candy (Maltese)

  • Bambi (Sheltie)

  • Jisoo (Bichon Frise)

These characters are integrated with a Chinese character meaning “home,” reinforcing warmth, belonging, and emotional connection.

Visual Identity

The color palette plays a key role in defining the brand’s personality:

  • Primary Colors

Red (#CA2039): energetic, bold, and joyful

Black (#231F20): contrast, grounding, and modernity

  • Secondary Colors: Green and brown tones inspired by nature and Eastern aesthetics

Typography uses SR FahTHAI, chosen for its friendly, playful, and approachable character—perfectly aligning with the brand’s tone.

Collateral Design: Playful & Lively Touchpoints

The branding extends across multiple touchpoints, creating a cohesive and engaging experience:

  • Wall Art: Vibrant illustrations of dogs playing in a park, reinforcing the joyful atmosphere

  • Canvas Tote Bags: Stylish and functional, designed as lifestyle merchandise

  • Coffee Cups: Featuring the phrase “Where Wagging Tails Never Rest.”

  • Stickers & Packaging: Including the “Happy Snack” pet treat packaging, adding fun and brand recognition to every product

Each element is designed to be visually engaging and emotionally resonant, enhancing the overall brand experience.
