Bicycle Showroom Design Focused on Functionality & Customer Experience
Category : Retail
Design by : Collective Studio
Location : Roi Et ,Thailand
The Collective Studio was commissioned to design the showroom interior for Whale Bike, a bicycle retail and service center located in Roi Et, Thailand.
The project occupied the ground floor of a three-unit commercial building connected into one continuous open space without internal partition walls. The primary goal of the showroom design was to create a highly functional environment that supports both retail presentation and professional bicycle services.

Function-Driven Showroom Design
This project emphasized functionality as the core design principle.
The interior layout was carefully organized into clearly defined zones to support different customer activities and operational requirements, including:
bicycle display area
bicycle parts and accessories section
cycling apparel zone
maintenance and repair service area
bike simulator area for testing and fitting
The zoning strategy allows customers to navigate the showroom intuitively while enhancing the overall retail experience.

Creating a Complete Cycling Experience
Rather than functioning as a traditional retail store, Whale Bike was designed to provide a more complete cycling experience.
The inclusion of a bike simulator area allows customers to test and evaluate bicycles in a more professional and personalized way, helping them find models that best suit their riding style and physical ergonomics.
This experiential approach transforms the showroom into both a retail destination and a cycling support hub for the local community.

Contemporary Industrial Retail Atmosphere
The showroom design combines clean spatial organization with a contemporary industrial atmosphere suitable for modern sports retail environments.
Open circulation, organized product presentation, and practical service areas were integrated to ensure the space remains visually clean, efficient, and easy to maintain while supporting high customer traffic and daily operations.
The result is a bicycle showroom design that balances retail functionality, service efficiency, and customer interaction within a cohesive architectural environment.
